By now, news is spreading that Musa Publishing will be closing their doors at the end of the month. Musa was one of my first publishers, and I’ve had a very good business relationship with them. I wish the directors, editors, and my fellow authors the very best in their future endeavors.
Six books from my back list will be removed from sale at the end of next week, and I have not decided how I will proceed with the various titles. I think it’s important to take time to look at each work and evaluate how it contributes to my body of work as a whole before I make those decisions. What happens with my Wiccan Haus shared-world books is a decision I’ll be making in conjunction with the creator of the series.
My priority right now is my front list–editing and promoting the books I have coming out with Riptide, and finishing the serial I’m writing so I can publish it later this year. Also–sweater boy and roller derby lesbians are totally  happening and they’re up next.
The only book I can say with confidence I plan to re-release as soon as possible is Hostile Beauty. However, the book will need a thorough re-edit–I wrote it in the fall of 2012, and I’m not the same writer anymore–and these things take time. Since my priority is getting the new books written, I can’t give an estimate on re-release time frame. Hopefully this year!
Thank you, as always, for reading!
