“We’re going to be late.” Andrew glared at Levi from the doorway to the bathroom, not bothering to knock or anything. Knocking might have given Levi time to pull a pair of jeans over that perfect ass, and Andrew was enjoying the view too much.
“We’re not going to be late.” Levi turned away from the mirror as he rinsed his razor and gave Andrew a once-over. “You’re wearing that? To the hospital?”
“You don’t like it?” Andrew’s heart sank. He’d picked out this suit because it was Levi’s favorite. He wanted today to be special. He wasn’t good at special. Levi could do special, but trying to be something that didn’t come naturally just made Andrew nervous. And angry. “I thought you liked me in suits? Besides, we have a lunch reservation after our visit.”
“You’re telling me now?” Levi wiped his face with a towel. “Andrew, I have to go to work after the hospital. We have a ribbon-cutting at the community center today.”
“Can’t someone else do it?” Andrew tugged at his tie and scowled. If Levi would just come back to work for him, they wouldn’t have scheduling conflicts anymore.
“No, no one else can do it. It’s my job, Andy.” Andrew flushed at the nickname. Only two people had ever called him that, and hearing the name on Levi’s lips was better than an endearment. Except it was followed by, “Look, I’d love to have lunch with you, but we’ll have to make plans for another day. I’m sorry.”
Levi pushed past Andrew and into the bedroom. He disappeared into one of the huge walk-in closets and came back wearing jeans and a pink button-down oxford.
“It’s Valentine’s day.” Andrew murmured, pulling Levi close and settling their hips together. He ran his hand up the front of Levi’s shirt to play with the nipple ring he could feel under the fabric. Levi’s nipple hardened at his touch and Levi groaned. “I thought we’d spend at least part of it together.”
“It’s Valentine’s day, that’s why the ribbon cutting ceremony is today. A celebration of love and community. It’s symbolic.” Levi leaned in and kissed Andrew’s chin. Andrew tried to angle for a real kiss, but Levi pulled away. “Besides, it’s not like we really ‘do’ Valentine’s day, you and me. You know I love you, I know you love me. That’s all we need.”
Andrew frowned, following Levi down the stairs to the kitchen. Levi whistled to the dogs and they came running, tails wagging as Levi filled their food dishes. That wasn’t all he needed, dammit. Not today.
“Fuck, Levi. I just wanted to…”
“Tell you what, I’ll bring dinner home. Something nice.” Levi smiled, and Andrew’s breath caught. How could he be angry when Levi smiled at him like that?
“Okay.” He acquiesced. “I guess I should have asked before making the lunch reservation. I’ll have Karen cancel it.”
“No need to cancel the reservation. Just take David or something. He always gets sad around Valentine’s day. It’ll be good for him to get out.”
Andrew’s face grew hot. Take David out to lunch on Valentine’s day? To the special french restaurant with the prix fixe menu where he’d planned… No, no, no and hell no.
“Yeah, or something.” He muttered.
“Hey, I love you.” Levi grinned at Andrew. “Happy Valentine’s day.”

“Are you okay?” Melissa handed Levi a cup a coffee and he looked up and shrugged.
“Protestors at the ribbon cutting were kind of shitty. Who protests a community center? I get that people hate us because we’re gay, but…Jesus. It’s 2014.” He ran a hand through his hair and shrugged. “How about you?”
“I took three messages from Andrew while you were out. I thought I was your business partner, why do I suddenly feel like your secretary? You avoiding your man?”
A flush of shame filled Levi’s face. “No. Kind of. I’m sorry?”
“Honey, don’t apologize to me. What happened?”
“I messed up. He made lunch reservations for us, and I bailed. He tried to brush it off like he wasn’t upset–and honest to God, Melbo, most days he wouldn’t be–but I could tell he was.”
“So, make it up to him.” She shrugged. “I dunno, let him fist you or something.”
Levi shuddered. Oh hell no. “You watch too much porn.”
“You don’t watch enough.” She snapped back. “Flowers. Wine. Dinner. Sex. Kinky shit optional.”
Levi mulled her words all the way home. He stopped at a fancy food market on the way and picked up some cold prepared foods he knew Andrew liked, a bottle of viognier, and, on a whim, some fresh cut roses. Flowers, wine, dinner.
Andrew tackled him the moment he walked through the door, pinning him back against it with a growl.
“You’re late.”
Kinky shit optional.
Levi leaned in to kiss Andrew slowly. He set the bags on the floor, pulled back to mutter a harsh “Leave it!” at Edgar, who scurried from the foyer, and then dragged Andrew close to his body, getting his hands up under Andrew’s shirt so he could touch skin.
God, he loved this. He couldn’t get enough of the feeling of Andrew, all hard muscle and tight control, Andrew going tense and gasping in his arms while grinding their hard dicks together. Andrew biting down on his bottom lip and growling out his need. Andrew yanking his trousers down to his knees and pushing him down to the floor, food be damned.
“Andrew.” Levi groaned, reaching back behind himself for what–reassurance? Andrew kissed Levi’s hand and sucked a finger into his mouth. He tormented Levi with his tongue, teasing it along the digit until Levi ground his hips into the rug. Andrew let go of his hand.
“Roll onto your back.” Andrew helped him roll, pulled his clothes the rest of the way off, then sat back and stared.
Levi felt hot under Andrew’s gaze, but he held still, letting Andrew see how turned on, how absolutely breathlessly wanting he was.
“You bought me roses?” Andrew glanced suddenly to the left of Levi, where the flowers had landed.
Levi nodded and swallowed thickly. God, Andrew, I’m sorry. “I’m so–”
“Hush.” Andrew cut him off with a harsh gesture. He leaned across Levi’s body, the hard planes of his chest brushing across Levi’s nipples as he plucked a rose from the bouquet.
Andrew sat back on his heels, bringing the flower to his nose and inhaling deeply. He looked at the color and smiled. “Pink?”
“They were out of red.” Levi smiled, charmed by how taken Andrew seemed with the flower. Andrew pulled one of the petals off and set the stem and the rest of the flower aside. He studied the velvet texture of the petal for a moment before he held it to Levi’s chest, circled his nipples with it, first the right, then the left. Andrew pushed the soft texture against Levi’s nipple ring, and then he groaned, long and low. He grabbed the flower and roughly pulled the head from the stem, crushing the petals in his hand and scattering them over Levi’s torso.
Sitting back on his heels again, Andrew studied Levi, for a moment, then bit his lip and leaned in for a kiss.
The scent of roses washed over both of them as Levi arched and pressed their chests together, eager for more contact. Andrew pushed away long enough to tug his own clothes off, grinning down at Levi.
Finally, he stretched out on Levi, skin-to-petal-covered-skin, and took their cocks together in his hand. He slid them through his hand teasingly slow, bucking just slightly with his hips to set a rhythm. The brush of his swollen cockhead against Levi’s made Levi’s breath catch.
“More.” He reached up to tug his own nipple, ring and all, pinching a rose petal with it, pain, pleasure, softness all heightening his desire. “Want to go upstairs where we have condoms? Lube?” Levi didn’t want to stop, but damn, he wanted to feel Andrew everywhere.
Andrew grinned at him, then sat up and reached into the drawer in the small table where they left their keys. “Stashed them there before you got home.”
Levi groaned again. “Fuck me.”
Andrew poured lube over Levi’s cock, his balls, let it drip down and then rubbed it against Levi’s hole. “God, you’re sexy Levi. I love how you want this.”
Levi rocked against that rubbing finger, trying to show Andrew he needed more. Andrew just smiled and lubed up his own condom-covered cock.
It hurt when Andrew breached him but Andrew kissed Levi through the sting until he relaxed and welcomed Andrew inside.
Andrew placed Levi’s hand on his own cock and ordered a gruff “Jerk that.” And Levi did, oh, he did. He watched Andrew fuck into him in quick little thrusts that teased his prostate more than stimulated it. The tease was enough though, when combined with the heat from his own hand on his cock, to send his arousal skyrocketing. He teetered on the edge, pulling his hand away from his cock and tearing his gaze away from Andrew’s powerful body.
“No, look at me.” Andrew turned his face back, locked their gazes. He slowed his thrusts and grinned down at Levi. “Put your hand back on your dick.”
Levi did as he was told, stroking himself slowly, so slowly, matching Andrew’s rhythm, teasing them both. Andrew shifted his angle slightly so he was grinding along Levi’s gland with each maddening stroke. Levi groaned and worked his hand harder.
“Want to see you come. Want to see it on your chest with the petals. Want to smell it.” Andrew whispered. “Want to lick it off you and kiss you with it.”
Levi’s hand flew over his cock then, and heat washed over him in a brilliant wave. He felt the come hitting his chest, and then Andrew was pulling out of him. He threw the condom aside and jerked himself, his come splashing down on Levi in a hot burst. And then they were chest to chest, kissing, loving, the smell of spunk and roses heavy around them.
“Marry me.” Andrew whispered against Levi’s lips. “Say you’ll marry me. I wanted to ask you at lunch, I had–” He groaned and rested his head against Levi’s shoulder. “I had plans.”
Oh God, that’s why Andrew had been so upset?
“I didn’t know, oh, babe, I’m so sorry.”
Andrew met his gaze with a gruff laugh. “It doesn’t matter. I made other plans.” He gestured at the bottle of lube on the floor next to him. “That was more fun than lunch anyway. Marry me, Levi?”
Levi grinned. “Yes, I’ll marry you. Happy Valentine’s day, Andrew.”
“Happy Valentine’s day, Levi.”
